Looking after your Caelavo Filtered Showerhead
Your Caelavo Filtered Showerhead is designed to be simple to care for. Regular filter replacement and light maintenance help keep the system working as intended.
When to replace your filter cartridge
We recommend replacing the filter cartridge every 3 months at the latest. Depending on your water quality and how often the shower is used, you may need to replace it sooner, including after 1 or 2 months.
A noticeable reduction in water flow, visible dirt or sediment buildup around the filter screen, or water no longer flowing properly through the filter can be signs that it is time for a fresh filter cartridge.
Replacement filter cartridges are available separately.
How to replace your filter cartridge

Unscrew the handle
Hold the showerhead steady and rotate the handle counterclockwise. -
Remove the used filter
Pull the used filter cartridge out of the showerhead. -
Insert the new filter
Insert the new filter cartridge into the showerhead with the blue end facing upwards. -
Secure the handle
Rotate the handle clockwise until secure.
No tools or plumber required. Changing your filter cartridge typically takes less than a minute.
Caring for your showerhead
Clean the showerhead with a soft cloth when needed. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
After replacing the filter cartridge, make sure the handle is securely tightened before turning the water back on.
Storing spare filter cartridges
Unused filter cartridges can be stored for up to 1 year. Keep them sealed in their packaging and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
